Annual “Street Banquets” serve thousands of Thanksgiving and Christmas meals to the homeless, hungry, and poor.The Mission closes off the street in front of the Men's Center and sets up tables serving 1,500-2,000 traditional holiday meals at each banquet. Music and testimonies present the Gospel message while guests enjoy their hot meals. Activities for the children create a festive and enjoyable atmosphere for all. Over 650 volunteer partners are utilized to prepare and serve the meals at both banquets. - Gospel Rescue Mission served 1,550 Thanksgiving meals at our Thanksgiving Banquet on November 23, 2005.
- Gospel Rescue Mission served 1,660 Christmas meals of turkey and served over 2,000 hot dogs at the Children’s party on December 23, 2005.
- 1788 Children received Christmas gifts.
- 65 Christmas Trees were given out.
- 650 volunteers, staff and program men helped with the banquet.
