 The most wonderful part of camp was the spiritual emphasis.
This year sixty-five children between the ages of 7 – 14 along with 31 adults as support staff were in attendance. There were 43 girls and 22 boys. Of the sixty-five children, thirty were from Kids Club, twenty were from the surrounding South Tucson area schools and ten girls were from a group home in Phoenix. Mary and Dennis Barreras were Camp Directors this year. The most wonderful part of camp was the spiritual emphasis. Each day at chapel service as counselors shared their hurts and wounds and how God had healed them, the children began to do the same. God moved in a powerful way and 40 children asked Jesus into their lives.
