Mobile Outreach to our NeighborsFour times a month two large trailers leave the Gospel Rescue Mission. A red trailer loaded with food to be served to anyone that shows up, leads the way. A white trailer loaded with clothing and essentials follows closely behind. Each week the Good Shepherd Project seeks out those in need. No one is turned away. As an outreach arm of Community Ministries, The Good Shepherd journeys out into our communities to serve the the poor, needy and homeless. Blessed with warm winters, Tucson attracts those who are homeless. Starting in September and continuing through May we see a steady increase of people needing our help. Meeting needs with your help...
Even thou most of the food is donated, various food items are purchased at the "Community Food Bank" and others like fresh fruit and tortillas are purchased in area stores. Clothing items gathered from our Distribution Center, and generously donated by people in our community, continually help meet the needs of families throughout Southern Arizona.
If you would like to help by volunteering your time, please read over our "Volunteer Opportunities" page and fill out the "Volunteer Partner Interest Form" to get you started. To donate resources like clothing, household items, appliances, etc. please visit our "Distribution Center" page for more information. More information about contributing to the Gospel Rescue Mission can be found in our "Donations" section. |

Feeding and Clothing between 300 to 400 people per week is a monumental task needing hundreds of volunteers to come "share the load" in meeting the needs of these poor and homeless.
Your help, whether donating your time or your resources is appreciated and goes a long way to help meet the needs of our neighbors here in the Tucson and South Tucson Communities.
