Fifth Anniversary

Five years ago this June, we took a leap of faith and opened the new H.S. Lopez Family Foundation Center of Opportunity. Today, we join hands with over 60 organizations and volunteer service groups to provide holistic care for our neighbors experiencing homelessness. As we reflect on these transformative years, we celebrate the stories of all of those who we’ve served and highlight three women whose lives have been changed by their journey with us.

Thank you

Last year, over 18,000 meals—perhaps 4.5 tons of food—were prepared in our kitchen and served to our guests and visitors by compassionate volunteers. Last year, your generosity provided homeless children and adults with over 89,000 nights of safe and comfortable sleep.

Natasha

Natasha has been clean and sober for 16 months.  As a young adult, Natasha was a functional addict for nine years—sustaining a successful career in the newspaper industry. But shortly after she found out that her mother had been murdered and her best friend passed away from a life-long asthma condition, Natasha went over the edge.

William’s Story
