EMERGENCY SHELTER

The Gospel Rescue Mission participates in emergency shelter programs due to the extreme weather conditions in Tucson, AZ. During these times service will be provided at 4550 S. Palo Verde Rd. Announcements are posted on GRM’s Facebook page @ https://www.facebook.com/GRMTucson

Operation Deep Freeze is activated when weather forecasts predict overnight temperatures of 40°F or lower with rain, or 35°F or lower without rain, or when wind chill factors pose a health hazard due to exposure. Intake begins at 6pm. Free services offered include a delicious dinner, a hot shower, toiletries, clean clothes, a cozy bed, and a hearty breakfast.

SHELTER PROGRAM

We offer a seven-day respite stay for individuals looking for a short-term solution to homelessness. This program will provide you with a warm, nutritious meals, a hot shower, and a secure bed, while also allowing you to learn about our organization and the services we provide. Many who enter our shelter program discover more about what we offer and decide to stay, eventually joining one of our three longer-term programs.

Shelter

At Gospel Rescue Mission, we recognize the challenges that individuals and families frequently encounter in their journeys. That’s why we offer you services centered on high-quality hospitality, providing safe, clean, and comfortable accommodations for up to 350 men, women, and children every night, throughout the entire year.

We believe everyone deserves an opportunity. Our doors are open to all. We are committed to treating everyone with Love, Grace, Dignity, and Respect.

Personal Hygiene

We understand that keeping up with personal hygiene is essential for your overall health and happiness. Unfortunately, many people living on the streets or in temporary shelters struggle to access clean water, showers, and laundry facilities. This can lead to serious health issues, feelings of isolation, and challenges in finding employment or stable housing. Regular showers and clean clothes aren’t just about being tidy; they play a key role in restoring a sense of normalcy, confidence, and self-esteem.

Showers

Our shower facilities are designed to offer a clean and private space where you can refresh both physically and mentally. We provide fresh towels, quality toiletries, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Access to our showers promotes good health and serves as an effective way to help you regain your independence and confidence, allowing you to start your day feeling revitalized.

Laundry Facilities

Our laundry facilities are equipped with modern machines to help you keep your clothes, blankets, and other essentials fresh and clean. We recognize that having clean clothing is crucial—not just for your health but also for building a positive self-image and improving job readiness. By offering this important service, we empower you to take care of your personal items, helping prevent infections, promoting good hygiene, and enabling you to confidently take steps toward rebuilding your life.

Our Community Expectations

For everyone’s safety, some actions and behaviors cannot be allowed, and we will honor your choice to leave. They may also lead to law enforcement being notified—these include…

  • Bringing, using, or distributing drugs or alcohol onto the property
  • Using drugs or alcohol while off property
  • Violence
  • Threats of violence
  •  Racial slurs
  •  Vandalism
  • Theft
  • Medication violations (medications are to be taken only as prescribed)
  • And, the use or possession of pornography

By following these guidelines, we can ensure that everyone enjoys a safe and welcoming environment. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Our mission is to provide support and encouragement to help each guest navigate their unique path toward stability and hope. We are dedicated to walking alongside you every step of the way on your journey from Homeless to Wholeness.
